Prawn & Hoisin Bao Buns

Serves 2-4

Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

4 bao buns

8 prawns, shelled and deveined

½ carrot, thinly sliced

1 chilli, deseed and thinly sliced

2 tbsp garlic chives, thinly sliced

2 tbsp spring onion, thinly sliced

2 tbsp coriander, to serve

1 tbsp fried shallots, to serve

Extra virgin olive oil

2 tbsp mayonnaise 

2 tbsp hoisin sauce

Method

Add olive oil to a hot pan over medium heat, fry the prawns with spring onion and chilli for 3-4 minutes.

Steam the bao buns. 

To assemble, open the fold of the bao bun and place carrot, chilli, chives, spring onion, 2 prawns, 1 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon of hoisin sauce, coriander and fried shallots. 

Serve and enjoy!
