Ingredients

500g pork mince

3 spring onions, finely chopped

½ bunch coriander, finely chopped

1 egg

1 long red chilli, diced (remove seeds for less heat)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1-inch knob ginger, minced

¼ cup hoisin sauce

2 tbsp fried shallots

1 tsp dried chilli flakes

½ cup toasted sesame seeds

2 tbsp light soy sauce

½ cup panko bread crumbs

2 tbsp white vinegar

¼ cup soy sauce

2 tbsp hoisin sauce

1 tbsp coconut sugar

1 tbsp minced ginger

¼ cup honey

Method

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

To a bowl, add the pork mince, coriander, bread crumbs, soy, hoisin sauce, sesame seeds, chilli flakes, shallots and spring onion. Crack in the egg and add the chilli, ginger and garlic and stir to combine (with hands is best).

Roll into large meatballs and put them into a baking tray.

Whisk together all the glaze ingredients and then pour over the meatballs. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through. Serve with additional coriander and spring onion on top.
