Onion Bhaji

Ingredients
3 large red onions
300g besan/chickpea flour
1 tsp baking powder
3 tsp turmeric
2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 tbsp date & tamarind chutney
1 green chilli
Vegetable oil, for frying
4 tbsp panipuri chutney, to serve
Method
Slice your onion thinly, add the spices and the salt and leave for about 10 minutes to soften the onions.
Then add your chilli, date & tamarind chutney, flour and baking powder before adjusting the mix with water until you have a thick batter.
Fry in the oil at 180°C for about 6 minutes until the golden.
Serve with panipuri chutney.
